It • Developed a rewrite of a legacy VB6 application in ASP.NET MVC - extracted inline SQL to Oracle DB stored procedures, read and analyzed legacy code, worked with business owners to cull requirements to modernize the application by only porting non-redundant functionality, and simplifying existing workflows. The app is similar to a shopping cart - a collection of securities intended for trading that exists temporarily until submitted or expired. Augmented the application by implementing options trading capability. • App easily handled huge trading volumes with minimal fault. • Developed a metrics tool using Silverlight 2 and the Silverlight 2 toolkit to aggregate and display international order-placement data from a central DB visualized with a three-dimensional pie chart with drill-down capability. • Created an RIA portal using Silverlight 3 to manage the build process within the group increasing build team productivity by around 10%. This replaced the usage of multitudes of manual emails to carry out the build request-and-completion process. • Coordinated troubleshooting for a Foreign Exchange trading web application.
