Tommy Strowd, P.E., has been at the forefront of water resource management and civil engineering as the Executive Director of the Lake Worth Drainage District since March 2019. With over 45 years of extensive experience in civil, environmental, and water resource engineering, he has established himself as a leader in the field. His journey with the District began in April 2014 when he took on the role of Director of Operations & Maintenance, where he honed his expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, flood control, and environmental management systems.

Under Strowd's leadership, the Lake Worth Drainage District has embarked on several key projects aimed at enhancing water management and sustainability in the region. His focus on innovative water resource engineering solutions has led to the implementation of advanced hydrologic modeling techniques, which have significantly improved flood mitigation strategies and overall water quality in the area.
