After graduation, I went to work for Baroid Drilling Fluids as a Field Service Engineer for various operators in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast and offshore GoM where I managed the drilling and completion fluid systems as per programmed, manipulating these systems as needed depending on the varying conditions experienced druing these operations. I then worked for Baroid as in-house Technical Service Engineer for Vastar Resources GoM, South TX, South LA & Oklahoma drilling and completion program where I supervised Baroid field personnel and consultants working on all projects, prepared the fluid programs based on offset data, pore pressure/frac gradient prediction and geology/rock mechanics. I provided project support with the use of software and modeling, which included: hydraulics, pore pressure/frac gradient prediction, cost analysis, solids analysis, rheological modeling, and benchmarking success and failure on a well by well basis in order to achieve constant improvement. I then held the same position from 2000 to 2004 in-house at BP in Houston, TX. In May of 2004, my career path changed as I went to work for Environmental Treatment Team, a subsidiary of Superior Energy Services, where I worked as an account manager calling on various operators and service providers that operate in the GoM area. In 2007 ETT was sold to CCS Energy Services out of Canada. At this time I made the decision to change my carrer path again and found myself back on the Halliburton team as a Sr. Account Representitive for the Baroid Fluids Division I originally went to work for right out of college. I remained there for just under a year when the opportunity presented itself in a start up opprtunity with the position as Fluids & Logistics Manager with AGR Turnkey Drilling, Inc. Unfortunately the E&P downturn of 2009 cut the legs out from under the turnkey drilling ops, So I found myself back in the E&P Environmental business at my current position with ApexFCC Oilfield Services.
