Shaquille O'Neal played high school basketball at Saint Benedict's School in Akron, Ohio. O'Neal then played college basketball at the University of Louisville. O'Neal then played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers (now the Boston Celtics) from 1992-2001. While in the NBA, O'Neal won six NBA titles and the 1997–98 MVP Award. In 2001, O'Neal left the Boston Celtics to become a Legend in the NBA with the Miami Heat. O'Neal then left the Miami Heat in 2003 to re-join the Celtics. In April 2013, Shaquille O'Neal was traded from the Celtics to the Orlando Magic. In December 2013, Shaquille O'Neal was traded from the Orlando Magic to the Phoenix Suns. In January 2014, Shaq left the Phoenix Suns and became a free agent once again. In February 2014, Shaq announced his resignation from the Phoenix Suns. He then decided to retire from professional basketball.
