From September 2011 to December 2013 (2 years 4 months) Emeryville, CACategory Management Intern @ Kashi Company Support Category Strategy team with a variety of projects spanning cross functional departments of Marketing, Sales, and Consumer Insights. Support initiatives for varying levels throughout organization including General Manager, VP of Sales, and VP of Marketing. Leverage syndicated panel and consumption data to identify opportunities, risks, and competitive activity for the Kashi Company. Responsibilities included student enrollments, overseeing an e-mail account used to correspond with students, data entry and filing, opening/closing of office location and working with customers and students. From April 2009 to March 2010 (1 year) Category Insights Manager @ Clif Bar & Company National Accounts: Albertsons-Safeway, Ahold Delhaize, Whole Foods, Sprouts.Albertsons Companies: National Category Captain for Nutrition Bars + Category validation responsibilities by divisions for Natural Wholesome Snacks. As Category Captain lead annual review process and shepherded first full reset the Category had undergone in three years. Secured organizational alignment in pack type strategy and shelving principal changes to bring assortment more inline with competitive market. Partnered with schematics teams to build out full chain planograms across all set size variations. Provided bi-weekly updates on sales trend and purchase behavior impacts post-reset.
