Sales Account Manager @ ESI Group is a French high end engineering simulation software vendor, working with the worlds OEM’s and supply chain to resolve very complex problems: such as crash & safety simulation, manufacturing process simulation in composites, casting, stamping, welding, CFD, CEM, 1D analysis and we are world leaders in immersive virtual engineering (VR) IC.IDO.
With responsibility to support a few OEM customers including: JLR, Bentley, Ford, Bombardier. I’m also responsible for growing academic partner’s adoption of our solutions: Nottingham University | WMG (composites), Birmingham University | HTRC (Casting / Welding). Working with ground transportation clients I'm able to map the development process to identify where our solutions fit and how we can bring added value by the chaining of various simulation results, for example so that manufacturing defects can be taken into account during crash simulation. This enables a much better coloration of virtual simulation results when compared to actual test data, helping clients develop better products quicker. From January 2014 to Present (2 years) Territory Account Manager @ I joined Tata Technologies, to setup a new Autodesk business unit, to complement the US and other global business locations. The initial aim was to service the UK group companies TMETC, Tata Motors (JLR), Tata Steel. I gained enhanced baseline security clearance, working as part of an established team, space planning specialist military vehicles to DEF standards. Ansys FEA software was used to carry out weight optimisation and improve structural integrity of various mechanical design elements. Inventor was used to design all mechanical elements, electrical routing and visually communicate with clients how a solution would function to meet design specifications formed during the tender process, at the various development gateway stages and during delivery. From June 2005 to September 2006 (1 year 4 months) Worcester, United KingdomEngineering Manager @ As Huntleigh Renray’s engineering manager, I had full responsibility for establishing a design department, budget control and man management of three members of staff. It also required strong focused leadership when simultaneously managing 20+ projects. During the first twelve months the team successfully reduced NPD time by 70% and cost by 30% as a result of implementing Digital Prototyping. Totally redesigning the company’s existing product lines and doubling the number of product ranges. Responsible for the establishing / testing of a new advanced laser cutting manufacturing process. From April 2003 to August 2003 (5 months) Design Engineer @ Working as the only design engineer, carried sole responsibility for all new product development across a range of children’s medical seating, standing and walking solutions. Worked closely with the production manager to develop new products and implement engineering change orders. I created and controlled the design and manufacturing sections of the ISO 9001 quality system.
Designing from initial concept renderings through to manufacturing, products that include gas strut and actuator powered adjustments. The creation of production JIGs and working prototypes to enable product selection was also required. The sourcing of subcontract components CNC/CAM parts, laser cut, precision turned parts, bent tubes, sheet metal and plastic parts for the assembly of the finished products.
