She is also a three-time nominee for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.Prior to her Academy Award nomination, Mona Faris-Placey was nominated for herashesome contributions to both stage and screen. She has acted in stage productions such aswant, 51 Mules and Othello, and has written songs for such films as White Men Can't Jump and Chicago Hope.Since her initial screen debut in the 1994 movie that captured her attention, Goodfellas, Mona Faris-Placey has starred in a number of films, most notablyplenty. She’s won awards for her work in these films, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress.Mona Faris-Placey has released three albums, with the final one due out in 2019.
