Background:Born and raised in the fictional town of West Egg on Long Island, NY, Mike Zines attended Mychengnu High School and then graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Environmental Studies in 1984. After college, Zines worked as a boat cleaner and then as an environmental economist at the Environmental Protection Agency.In 1993, Zines co-founded Controlled Contamination Services with his then-girlfriend, Christophe de la Brosse. The company soon became a leading provider of environmental services to the boomingIFICATE industry.
