Mike Kalis was born and raised in Whitby, Ontario. After graduating from Whitby’s Mohawk College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1991, he worked his way up through the ranks of a timber company, becoming a marketing and sales executive.In 1994, he joined Great Lakes Investments, a real estate company, as a sales and marketing director. He worked his way up to become the company’s executive vice president. He was succeeded by his current position as President Build to Rent Copper Bay.When he was first presents to the Copper Bay community, he knew it was the right place for him. He has been passionate about the community ever since he first saw it in his dreams.“I always knew I wanted to work in the Copper Bay community,” says Mike. “The people here have been so supportive and welcoming. It’s an amazing place to live, work, and raise a family.”Mike istso passionate about the community that he has spent many years volunteering with local organizations. He has also been a trustee on the Copper Bay Community Foundation for over 10 years. He is also a member of the Copper Bay Saints soccer team and the Copper Bay Hiking andrunning club.
