Michael Comras is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Comras Company, a full service real estate company focused on retail development and leasing in South Florida’s core urban markets. Since opening the office in 1992, Michael’s efforts can be seen in a number of completed projects including the conception of Miami Beach’s “Collins Avenue Fashion District” and the resurgence historic Lincoln Road with an annual traffic count of over 6.6 million tourists. These retail markets have become the most sought-after locations for national and international premier designers, retailers and restauranteurs. Acting on behalf of retailers looking to make their move into South Beach, Michael has built to suit, renovated historic buildings and acted as leasing consultant for tenants including Apple, Sephora, MAC Cosmetics, Gap, Diesel, BCBG and Quiksilver. Michael has been extremely active in Miami’s emerging areas including Miami's Design District, Wynwood Arts District and Downtown Miami. His influence stretches beyond Miami's urban core to include various key developments throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Partnering with the City of Miami Beach and LNR Property Corporation in a public/private venture, Michael pioneered the development of two mixed-use projects. Lincoln Plane and The Lincoln, located adjacent to Lincoln Road, represent approximately 230,000 square feet of class “A” office space, 70,000 square feet of retail space and 1,300 parking spaces. In South Miami, Michael led the redevelopment of the former Bakery Center into the Shops at Sunset Place before turning it over to his partner, the Simon Property Group.
