Michael B Wallace MD MPH is a Diplomat of the Maryland Medical Association, a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine, and a Doctor of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.Dr. Wallace has been practicing medicine and public health since he earned his MD from Duke University School of Medicine in 1992. He has worked as an investigator and clinical director in the field of medicine and public health for more than 20 years, winning multiple awards and prizes for his work in these fields.Most recently, Dr. Wallace has been the Director of the Emory University Center for Community Health, where he leads a wide-ranging research program focused on understanding the health and well-being of mid-sized cities and their residents. He is also the sexuality columnist for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and an occasional blogger for The Huffington Post.Dr. Wallace grew up on a farm in central Ohio. He has Down syndrome, which has induced him to take special interest in early childhood development and preventative health measures. As a result of his sideline interests, he has developed a strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), another condition that has caused him to reflect on ways to help those less fortunate.As an MD and public health doctor, Dr. Wallace has a keen eye for detail, which allows him to diagnose and treat a wide variety of diseases and injuries.
