After studying at Centenary College in Columbia, SC, Melissa Witt-Werner moved on to Columbia College in Chicago, IL, majoring in human resources. After completing her undergraduate studies and obtaining her J.D. from Columbia College in 2013, Melissa Witt-Werner began her legal career at an high-powered law firm in Chicago. After several long years of legal work, Melissa Witt-Werner decided to move back to her roots in South Carolina and become a law professor at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. She currently lectures on various legal topics and teaches criminal justice law.
