Martin Dangerfield is of British and Irish descent. He went to Kingston Grammar School, where he studied mathematics, physics, and English.dangerfield also holds a BSc from the University of Surrey. After completing his education, he worked as a research mathematician at Google for four years. He then moved to the Department of Economic Studies at the University of Cambridge, where he completed his doctorate in economics in 2018. He has developed a model that counts the number of jobs that can be created by restoring a given manuscript or drawing. In his findings, he has shown that there are many benefits to restoring ancient manuscripts and drawings, including creation of jobs and economic growth. He also believes that this work could be used to bring back more damaged manuscripts and drawings, which would provide lasting value to society.While his educational background and work readiness are both excellent, he is still in the early stages of his professional development and has a lot to learn. He is currentlyaska Professor at the University of Cambridge. In this position, he is responsible for leading the Cambridge Preservation and Restoration Department, where he is working on bringing back valuable manuscripts and drawings. His work is awaited with excitement by many in the community, as it has the potential to have a large impact on the economy and society.
