The in-memory option offers improved performance on both transactional and analytic queries without compromising on ACID invariants, robustness, recoverability and availability of the RDBMS.
I am one of the lead engineers of the project where I designed and developed the module which manages the format, compression level, and the mechanism of data population into the in-memory store of Oracle’s In-memory Database. From December 2012 to January 2014 (1 year 2 months) San Francisco Bay AreaSoftware Design Engineer @ Closely involved and gained expertise in key features of Oracle like Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) compressed tables, Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC) feature on Exadata, and Oracle In-Memory database.
Designed and implemented key features in HCC and OLTP compressed tables which makes them faster and highly scalable.
Authored compression algorithms that are widely used in Oracle Exadata. From June 2010 to December 2012 (2 years 7 months) San Francisco Bay AreaSoftware Research Intern @ Developed a platform independent application, iMobEx, in C++ to enhance automation capabilities of SSIT set-up of the 1xEVDO project. iMobex can send different types of traffic like TCP, UDP, VoIP, FTP, and HTTP to automate testing in the High Data Rate (HDR) system.
