I am currently a Managing Director for NextGen, an early stage venture capital fund. NextGen has offices in NYC, DC, Boston, Chicago, and Austin.
While a Director at Techstars, I developed, launched, and managed startup accelerator programs including the R/GA Connected Devices Accelerator, the Disney Accelerator, and the Kaplan EdTech Accelerator. I sourced and screened hundreds of startups for five different Techstars programs, conducting diligence on the team, market, traction, and idea to decide which received funding. Both during and after the programs, I advised and mentored portfolio companies on key topics such as lean methodology, KPI’s, product/market fit, partnerships, and fundraising.
Previous to Techstars as a Director at Interpublic Group, I led the acquisition of 15 fast growing digital media and advertising firms from all over the world. Prior to and during Harvard Business School, I worked for 3i Group and The Carlyle Group sourcing deals, conducting diligence, and supporting portfolio companies in various stages of growth. Over the course of my career, I have completed transactions valued at more than $20 billion.
Specialties: Early stage venture capital, connected devices (IoT), mobile, e-commerce, fintech, digital media, marketplaces
