Responsible for evaluation and selection of SIP server stack, feature selection (with marketing) and implementation.• Designed and developed an alternative to the base product “ZCR” or “Zero Cost Router” a SIP proxy that manages SIP gateways enabling users to make the cheapest or free calls providing they are authorized to use a given gateway. From June 2006 to February 2007 (9 months) Senior Engineer @ Arts Alliance Labs • Designed and built a prototype system in C#/ASP.net to encode, encrypt, transport, load, and play-out digital cinema UK Film Council request for bid. We won the tender. The prototype was turned into a profitable business in London for about 200 Theatre Screens.• Designed and Built a Fandango-like website for PictureHouse Cinemas, LTD (London Based) using C#/ASP.NET. Interfaced with a XMLRPC based data repository for event information, member management, and ticket sales.• Designed, built, and interfaced highly-available large-scale recommendation server for DVDs for LOVEFilM (a Netflix-like company in London). PHP/C#/ASP.NET. A large amount of work was put into stand-alone test-harnesses for performance testing, reliability, and tuning for the specific client as well as interfacing to their PHP/MySQL code (and performance testing on their side).• Various work on other websites: spotrunner.com, nalc.com, artsalliancelabs.com (C#/ASP.NET). From March 2003 to June 2006 (3 years 4 months) Principal @ OCD Software • Built Java-based applications for the danger device including a superior to do list and ring-tone recorder/installer.• Designed and Developed a PHP/MySQL based community-centric framework for building websites.• Built a prototype for a nutritional website using framework.• Designed and developed a picture-based journal website using framework.• Designed and developed various web-based games using framework. From January 2001 to January 2003 (2 years 1 month) Senior Engineer @ Wildfire Communications. • Fifth employee. Designed and developed a machine you could talk to that acts like a secretary. A voice activated personable assistant, named Wildfire; available over the phone that manages contacts and schedules.• Responsible for design and development of the C++/UNIX based prototypes and Version 1.0. Responsibilities included multi-media user interface, voice mail subsystem, lower level device abstraction (T1/E1, Analog Phone Lines, ISDN, and Voice Recognition System). Technical lead for the team converting the version 1.0 object database (ODI) store to RDBMS (Oracle).• Developed from scratch C++ classes for runtime type checking, exception handling, an object-oriented wrapper class for SQL database, various templated classes that mirrored C++'s Standard Template Library (as the STL was not defined yet), a generic object marshalling system which included support for templates.• Hands on development manager for Enterprise edition, built team to deliver hardware and software.
