I am a Masters student at Language Technology Institute, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. I am interested in the intricacies of Big data, its retrieval and how it can be put to use to make lives simpler. Currently I am working in the field of using Machine Learning for Text analysis and for large datasets.

My interests lie in : Machine Learning and its applications to : Statistics, Data Mining, Large Datasets, Text Mining, Text Analysis and Information Retrieval.
Teaching Assistant - Machine Learning for Large Datasets @ I work with Prof. William Cohen and am currently the Teaching Assistant for the course - Machine Learning for Large Datasets at School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. My responsibilities include - Designing and solving assignments for hand on experience with different machine learning algorithms in real world and dealing with problems of streaming large datasets and executing these algorithms on those. From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Greater Pittsburgh AreaResearch Intern @ I am currently working with Vu Ha and Oren Etzioni on solving the problem of Learning to Rank to help rank the papers of an upcoming project of Ai2 - Semantic Scholar. My responsibilities include, implementing the framework from end to end to incorporate the LeToR feature in the system, feature extraction, feature engineering and induction, model selection ( Logistic regression, Support Vector Machines, Convolutional Neural Networks). From May 2015 to August 2015 (4 months) Software Developer @ I worked with Microsoft for two years, in the field of query optimization, data retrieval, databases and Business data Intelligence for Volume Licensing data. From July 2012 to July 2014 (2 years 1 month) Hyderabad Area, IndiaSoftware developer Research intern @ I worked here at a SAP Labs on In-memory Technology to reduce the latency time for bringing data to the processor and hence speeding up the process of retrieving data and filtering it , by about 40x . The above mentioned scenario makes me ponder if I can come up with an algorithm that can solve the latency and parallel processing problem experienced by the central processing servers. From January 2012 to May 2012 (5 months) Software Developer Intern @ I worked for Cisco offline from campus, while I was in third year of college, on a project and implemented Global Server Load Balancing architecture to decrease the latency faced by clients when accessing servers. From February 2011 to June 2011 (5 months)
