Kai Holst Andersen is a seasoned transition diplomat who has heldFOREIGN AFFAIRS and TRANSITION DEMOCRACY EXPERIENCE in top level posts and positions in the Danish Foreign Ministry, Danish Public Service, and the European Commission.As a Senior Diplomat with more than ten years’ experience of working in a variety of policy, management, and Organization leadership positions, Kai Holst Andersen is well-equipped to lead transition efforts and support implementation of Danish foreign and stabilization policy agendas. He is well- situated to develop Denmark’s external policies and manage the complex cross-border relationships within the Danish foreign and defense policies. Kai Holst Andersen’s previous work experiences include Deputy Head of Integrated Strategic Planning for the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) and Stabilization at European External Action ServiceIndustry of International Affairs, Deputy Head of Conduct of Operations Division, Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability at European External Action Service, and Acting Head of Operations, Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability at European External Action Service. For eleven years, he was an Assistant to the Managing Director for Global and Multilateral Issues at European External Action Service.Kai Holst Andersen has a B.A. from the University of Copenhagen in Political Science and a Master of International Relations from the University of Cambridge in England.
