💼 Past Experience

Born and raised in Moscow, Julia spent her early childhood in a commune. After graduating from high school, she continued studying at the University of Moscow, transferring to the University of Technology in Moscow, where she graduated with a Diploma in Software Engineering in 2007. She then worked as an engineer at a software development company and, later, as a recruiter.After the Russian Revolution in 1917, Julia and her family moved to Boston, US. She worked as a recruiter for a number of companies and eventually became a Partner at Brain Gain Recruiting, a business that helps companies find and hire staff. Brain Gain Recruiting was transformed during the Lehman Brothers crash in 2008, from a company that helped companies find and hire staff to one that help companies find and fire staff. Julia is currently the Co-Founder, Studio Director and Recruiter at Social List, which is a business that connects companies with the best talent worldwide. Julia has been involved in thehumane animal industry for over 10 years. In 2013 she led a boycott of Atalanta, a major Italian company that sourcehumanely slaughtered animals. Julia worked with a team of activists to pass a resolution opposing the sourcing ofhumane meat in the Italian parliament. She has been involved in many other campaigns activities, such as protesting Italian meats at food festivals and conventions, and has received numerous awards for her work in the humane animal industry.

Julia Tverskaya has a degree in Applied Linguistics from Moscow State University. She has also studied at High School #91 in Russia. Julia Tverskaya is currently a doctoral candidate in English Literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
