I grew up in a small town in upstate New York and I always loved art and creative design. While I never really wore clothing to school, I was always very intrigued by theconcepts and ideas behind it. My family didn't have much money so I had to bide my time and study art at a lower level. While I had a lot of fun doing art and design in high school, I decided that I wanted to go to college and become an artist. After some research, I found that I could get a degree in Art and Design from a great college in New York City.I wanted to start my own business and I found a great business opportunity when I met my first business partner. We were pairing businesses together and I was able to get my own businessette up and running in just a few months. We made a lot of great connections and I learned a lot about business. My first two businesses were successful and I learned a lot about how to run a business. In my third business, I became a Creative Director.Mynext job was as an Assistant Designer at a company that I had a lot of connections with. I was able to work with the company and learn a lot about their business. I also got to work on their upcoming line of clothing. I was very successful in my job and helped the company to grow. I was then offered the opportunity to be their Creative Director.I am currently the Creative Director at Cj by Cookie Johnson. I have been with the company for six months and I have been very successful. I have been able to help the company grow and make changes to their designs. I have also been able to make a lot of new friends and work with a great team.

Joie Rucker has worked in the industry of design for almost 10 years. She started her career at Cj by Cookie Johnson, where she was the Co-Owner and Co-Founder. She then moved on to J.D.V. Branding, where she was the Owner and Co-Founder. From there, she founded Calvin Rucker LLC, where she was the Founder/Creative Director from November 2011 to January 2018. Additionally, she was also the Co-President from January 2000 to January 2005. Lastly, she was an Assistant Designer at Guess Jeans from January 1997 to January 2001. Joie has also had experience as a Designer Assistant at Sam & Libby from January 1991 to January 1992.
