The success of this project resulted in TRANSCO becoming the first organization in the Middle East to have achieved this prestigious award to the standard endorsed by the Institute of Asset Management (IAM). The project went on to win ‘Best Paper Award’ at the ‘Conseil International des grands reseaux electriques’ (CIGRE) GCC Power Conference 2011 in Kuwait, and TRANSCO was shortlisted for ‘best project’ and ‘utility of the year’ at the inaugural Middle East Electricity Awards 2012. From April 2010 to April 2011 (1 year 1 month) Senior Project Manager, Middle East @ Seconded from the UK into the Middle East to strengthen asset management, PAS-55 and project management capabilities, the purpose of this role was to manage consultancy projects for the ADWEA Group of companies, and contracts on behalf of EMAAR Utilities. Responsibilities also included assisting business development activities and growth areas across the region.
