From July 2016 to May 2017 (11 months) Fort Lauderdale, FloridaDesign Director @ Magic Leap Leading teams in the creation of the vision, strategy, and development of first generation mixed reality experiences. • Led cross-discipline teams in an incubator process that created 30 playable prototypes in 6 months across games, social, productivity, and education verticals.• Led a team that created 2 playable prototypes that helped secure $502 million in a Series D funding round.• Led a user research team that conducted end-to-end tests to iterate on product experiences.• Represented Magic Leap in the on-boarding of AAA development studios to help bootstrap their development efforts in mixed reality.• Led a design team that explored, iterated, refined then distilled design lessons in mixed reality into a Mixed Reality Design Best Practices Handbook. From February 2012 to October 2012 (9 months) Santa MonicaResearch Scientist @ Valve Software Worked closely with Mike Ambinder on experiments in Left 4 Dead 2, Alien Swarm, Half-Life 2 and DOTA 2. Our goal was to conduct research that made games more fun.• Collaborated on a project that created a new AI for Left 4 Dead 2 that was driven by biofeedback signals from the player.
