💼 Past Experience

I joined Guru Tech Services as a Freelance Network Administrator in late-2012, after working for a few companies as a part-time systems administrator. I have several years of experience in network administration and have worked with a variety of networks, most of which have been managed by computer networks. I have a strong interest in networking, and have been able to use my skills tocomplete a variety of tasks in this area.A key part of my work as a Freelance Network Administrator is designing and managing network settings for my clients' systems. I also have experience configuring networking panels and card readers, which can be useful when managing expensive systems or systems that require Legend/Norton/IaaS features. I have also been able to use my skills to complete tasks that are not typically associated with network administration, such as setting up VPNs and implementing voice and video conferencing.In my time as a Freelance Network Administrator, I have developed a strong understanding of DHCP, ACLs, and the NetworkManager tool. I have also been able to use my skills todiagnose and fix problems with clients' systems. He then completed his undergraduate studies at Clinton Community College where he earned his degree in computer science. I am a self-taught computer networking and security professional with more than 10 years of experience. I pride myself on being a skilled in both LAN and WLAN technologies. I have a vast knowledge of routers, switches and hosts, and have developed a strong understanding of networking topologies and protocols. I am also a skilled at managing networks and tools.I have worked as a Network Administrator for a variety of businesses, including restaurants, classified ads, and a manufacturing company. I have also administered and maintained several server farms and outdoor networks. I am familiar with a wide variety of software and hardware tools, making it easy for me to administer and troubleshoot networking problems.I have a BS in Computer Science from Utah State University and an MCS in Network Administration from the University of Utah. I am currently a Freelance Network Administrator at Guru Tech Services. I am particularly interested in networking and security issues, and am currently working on a number of project related to this focus. I also provide technician support for local businesses.
