Financials and Risk Analytics is an independent risk oversight function, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The mandate is to support Commerzbank's corporate values and management objectives by ensuring it takes appropriate risks inline with it's risk appetite for each of the main risk classes: Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operational Risk.
As a senior member of the team, I have in-depth experience of credit risk and market risk reporting within the web-based Risk and Resource System. I have a detailed knowledge of the different exposure measures, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) drivers and the market risk measures including the Greeks, Regulatory VaR, Stressed VaR and IRC. Working closely with the underlying data I perform reconciliations and develop prototypes using Microsoft SQL Server, OLAP cube technologies, MS Access and provide detailed specifications to IT. I was solely responsible for managing the Euronext Market Data Solution (EMDS) and Targin high capacity feed translation projects to provide our clients with cash, derivatives, indices and news data for many European exchanges.
On a daily basis, I was required to liase with Stock Exchanges, Product Managers, operational Staff and Data Analysts to produce mutually acceptable project specifications. I developed my systemd through all phases of the software development life cycle and worked closely with testers to ensure that system performance, data integrity and resiliency were not compromised.
Additionally, I was responsible for chairing meetings, delivering presentations, training and mentoring new starters, providing technical support, working alongside development teams in the United States, data analysts in Manila, Philippines and assisting with offshore development in Bangalore, India.
