◊ Lead supervising PCB layout, fab & assembly. Designed more than 10 PCBs range from low cost high volume consumer products to highly accurate instrumentation equipments and ASIC support platform. High-speed processors design and bring up experience. Familiar with discrete switching regulators, DC-DC converters and linear regulators. Experience working with tools : ORCAD, DxDesigner, Allegro and PCB SI. Create layout routing rule, PCB design activities involved planning the numbers of layers, size of the board, BOM, schematic capture, layout as well as supervisor and direct outside layout consultant, quotation/manufacturing support. Full FPGA and board development cycles, including concept, specification, design, layout, layout support, bring-up, debug, documentation and product support. Design of digital control interfaces such as I2C, embedded microprocessor interfaces, DDR/DDR2, SDRAM…etc Capable to be programmed (C/C++)Define system & board circuit specification, design and verification. Direct other engineers to perform architecture blocks diagram, design, implementation, verification and trouble shooting during bring up. Strong debugging skills / tools with ability to come up to speed quickly on the new technologies or concepts. A self starter with the ability to work in a dynamic organization; in a team or independent environment.
Senior Hardware Development Engineering @ ◊ Develop FPGA board with DDR3 interface, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, HDMI and SD interface. ADC/DAC interface to the RF analog front end and processing through Xilinx FPGA. Work on the some RF circuit with Frequency synthesizers, modulation and mixer design.
◊ Work with marketing, software, outside vendors to define advanced VNA solutions. Complete designs of advanced PCB schematics and layout on aggressive schedules. Program manage third-party system, PCB design. Manage distributors, reps, vendors, and service bureaus to complete board parts procurement, fab, and assembly. Bringup, debug, and replicate new board and system designs. Define, develop, and document improved system design methodology to achieve world-class productivity.
◊ Complete all deliverables and documentation required to release new board designs to production. Board designs are expected to work the first time. Design boards for functional correctness, excellent signal integrity, low cost manufacturing, FCC/CE EMI compatibility, and ESD tolerance. From July 2013 to Present (2 years 6 months) Senior FPGA Design Engineering @ ◊ Developing and simulate high speed FPGA operating at rates in excess of 10 Gbps. PCIe, 1G/OC48 and ADC/DAC interface design on Virtex 6/7 using Xilinx ISE, Reed Solomon encode/decoder implementation and design with scrambler/unscrambler capability.
