During my second rotation of the Graduate schemeI was responsible for:
-Preparing line level forecasts for all range and promotional products.
-Ensuring availability of stock for both stores and direct - and working towards the agreed stock budgets.
-Working closely with suppliers to ensure we are improving ways of working to enable us to achieve better availability.
-Working closely with the wider team to ensure I am implementing the strategy for products through their life cycle.
-During my time in Forecast and Ordering I have developed my financial awareness, problem solving and Excel skills. From June 2015 to October 2015 (5 months) Assistant Buyer @ Assistant Buyer – Cook & Dine
(October 2014 – June 2015)
During my first rotation on the Graduate scheme I:
-Supported the Cook team through sign off.
-Managed a project implementing RF tags on knives which when complete could reduce shrinkage by up to 40%.
-During this project I worked collaboratively with the packaging, artwork, shrinkage and security tagging team influencing their decisions to ensure everyone achieved their final goal.
-Assisted with AW15 set up of lines.
-Developed my influencing skills to ensure we had lower case sizes where necessary with minimal increases in cost, and resilience through a period of high vacancy rate. From October 2014 to June 2015 (9 months) Trainee Assistant Product Technologist @ During my placement year I was responsible for ensuring that:
-All products were launched on time and to set critical paths.
-Products were briefed to suppliers with the relevant legal, testing and quality requirements supplied.
-Domestically sourced products were risk assessed and signed off on time.
-Customer complaints and returns data were analysed and with the support of my technical manager quality, safety or legal issues identified through reports and product investigation.
-Site ethical audits were completed where required and non-conformances closed off within agreed timescales .
-Sites operate to "Green " Tesco Manufacturing Standards.
-Managed a project from start to finish implementing augmented reality onto barbeque packaging in store. This encouraged customers to trade up through improving the information they were provided with, promoted the Tesco Discovery App and decreased returns.
-Through managing my own area I gained confidence through running meetings, managing Suppliers and creating and rolling out new processes to ensure products were launched on time. From July 2012 to July 2013 (1 year 1 month) Waitress @ I worked at Pizza Hut part time whilst I was at University.
Working at Pizza Hut I:
-Served customers, providing a high standard of customer service.
-Gained effective time management skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
-Worked independently and as an efficient team member to produce the highest standard of customer care. From September 2010 to September 2012 (2 years 1 month) Receptionist @ I worked at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre part time whilst I completed my A Levels.
Working on Reception I dealt with:
-Gym membership sales, leading to increased profits for Tudor Grange Leisure Centre.
-I gained excellent negotiation skills, developed by identifying and resolving customer complaints tactfully.
