The technology and media venture emphasizes data visualizations, original video, and documentaries, distributing the content digitally and via partners, including the NBCUniversal News Group. As the founding general manager and editor, replaced the previous joint venture with Microsoft with a digital business owned and operated by NBC News. The new content strategy, Original Video Unit and suite of mobile-first products increased video views per visit by 281%, page views per visit by 81% and Facebook referrals by 88%, while reducing costs by 40%. Co-chair ongoing initiative to transform the network’s worldwide newsgathering to serve both digital and TV.
