I am a Vancouver-based writer, performer, multimedia artist and activist. I am never, ever bored.PR / Community Manager / Writer / Editor @ I wear many hats at Agog Labs, often at the same time, which can look rather comical. I am the house copywriter/editor/PR person, and I produce and run our trade show booths. During the development of Agog Labs' flagship programming language SkookumScript, I will co-author SkookumScript’s user manual and help docs, and will build and manage SkookumScript’s social media presence and online user community. I also look appropriately diabolical in my iconic SkookumScript Mad Scientist lab coat. From October 2013 to Present (2 years 3 months) Guest Lecturer @ I guest lecture on "Writing for Video Games" for the UBC Creative Writing Program course "Introduction to Writing for the New Media" (CRWR 213). From February 2012 to Present (3 years 11 months) Vancouver, Canada AreaFounder @ The Canadian Foreskin Awareness Project is Canada's best-known pro-foreskin advocacy group. As CAN-FAP's founder and front man I make media appearances and present live educational-comedy performances and seminars across Canada and the USA. Writer/editor for various projects. As Creative Director and Board Secretary I was involved in most aspects of company operations, including client, investor and B.C. Science Council meetings, business negotiations and public relations. From October 1999 to April 2002 (2 years 7 months) Editor / Writer / Columnist @ During my excessively long tour of duty at The Peak I held many key positions, including Copy Editor (the paper’s top editorial position). Duties included editing, proofreading, fact/libel checking, maintaining files, databases and the house style guide, writing everything from headlines and captions to feature-length articles (1500-3000 words), layout (PageMaker and Quark), writing/distributing press releases, marking up copy for the Peak web site, public speaking, serving on internal committees, and responding to editorial mail and inquiries. All told I had over 300 columns and articles published in The Peak, many of which were syndicated to student markets across Canada (via Canadian University Press) and the USA (via U-WIRE). From January 1994 to April 2002 (8 years 4 months) Designer / Writer / Editor @ Wrote help docs for TSR/Wizards of the Coast's "Dragon Magazine CD Rom Archive" (1999). Also served as the house Copy Editor. From May 1999 to October 1999 (6 months) Crew / Production Assistant @ Shaw Cable 10 (Port Alberni, B.C.).
