G. Andrew Maness had distant education from Berklee College of Music and Marietta College, but his experience and passion for music was clear from his childhood. G. Andrew Maness' parents instilled in him the importance of music education and the importance of music to his life.Andrew Maness started taking lessons at the age of five to develop his musical craft. He would practice weekly with hisparent's piano and, after completing sixth grade, he entered Marietta College in Georgia where he studied classical music. In his third year of college, Maness decided toswitch his major to music journalism after having a realization that his major would have no impact on his professional career as a music journalist.After four years of full time study at Marietta College, Maness earned his B.A. in music journalism in 2006. Maness' focus in music journalism necessitated he complete a post-baccalaureate music appreciation program in 2009, which he achieved with a full ride at Manhattan College, where he also earned his M.A. in music education in 2011.Since 2007, G. Andrew Maness has been teaching music education full-time in the Marietta, GA public schools. G. Andrew Maness has a passionate attachment to the teaching of music education and is excited to share his knowledge and passion for music with students.G.
