I am a UW Graduate, Washington native, and geek of all subjects. I enjoy taking on projects that are over my head so I can grow into them. I've traveled internationally, worked with people of all ages and ability, and I have self-published a mobile app. I'm a self-starter who excels at creatively solving new and unique problems!
Developer @ Developer for a midsize digital agency.
Early work has mostly revolved around building Angular applications in an ASP.MVC environment. From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Greater Seattle AreaSoftware Engineer @ Small start-up of ~ 10 employees. Worked on existing projects as well as created new products.
Software Engineering + Multidisciplinary demands.
Projects Include:
NoSQL Database: Using Neo4J, a graph database, I've designed models, visualized networks, and put a leash on big-data. We use Neo4J to find connections within our data in a very similar way to how a recommendation engine works.
Data-Mining: Overhauled/Re-engineered a Whois collection/parsing system which can extract relevant data from free-form documents, capable of processing millions of Whois documents monthly
Web-Crawler/AI : Selenium-based, Javascript-enabled web-crawler which navigates marketplaces and completes the 'Checkout' process on a wide variety of marketplaces using custom AI of my design and implementation to navigate treacherous and often broken websites. We collect data and use it to expose and shut-down counterfeit operations.
Machine Learning: Using Pythons Scikit-learn, I implemented a classification engine which can distinguish Online Marketplaces from Non-Marketplaces with high accuracy and speed. I created the whole suite from training sets to a GUI management system, to analysis and finally a RESTful API for the final product. Send it a url or some source HTML, and receive back whether it looks like a market or not.
Dev-Ops: I know my way around a linux terminal. I've installed Apache HTML servers in EC2 instances, created a 7 machine cloud using Razor->Chef->Openstack, and I've been running Ubuntu at home since 2011 From July 2013 to July 2015 (2 years 1 month) Greater Seattle AreaWaitstaff @ An after-school dining hall sever; working as a team in a highly diverse and friendly environment. From February 2011 to July 2013 (2 years 6 months) Greater Seattle AreaLab Technician @ Morphometric analysis of specimen using ImageJ and writing Java code to automate measurements and analysis. We used the Fourier transform of the cross-sectional shape of thousands of samples to quantify changes in shape of species over a 100 million year time-frame.
I also used XRays and Software methods to measure the changes in size and density of Renal Concrements inside living Nautilus specimen to identify their cyclical growth/dissolution. From August 2010 to May 2013 (2 years 10 months)
