Elyse Kent has a B.S. in Political Science and Art History from The University of Colorado Boulder. Elyse is a recent graduate of Regis University with a Masters of Arts in Cultural Programming and Management. Elyse is currently a recent graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with a Master of Science in Political Science and Art History. Elyse's professional background includes work in the cultural industry, most notably as a staff member at the Coloradoan Newspaper Company. before that, she had a brief stint as an assistant information officer at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Elyse has worked in a variety of cultural roles, both as a staff member and as an individual, and has enjoyed developing her skills in these fields.ElyseKent is interested in bridging the divide between the cultural and political worlds. She sees her work in the cultural industry as a means of providing support for nonpartisan organizations and working to create relationships between the cultural and political communities. Elyse believes that her work in the cultural industry can inform and engage viewers and readers alike. Elyse has worked to promote the cultural industry through her work at the Coloradoan Newspaper Company, as well as her upcoming book, A Cultural Politics: The Politics of Taste.
