After completing my PhD in Pharmacology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, I began working at InCube Labs, a medical device company. I am interested in opportunities to connect and learn about novel technologies that improve and transform healthcare.
Scientist @ From November 2015 to Present (2 months) Scientist @ • Simulated pharmacokinetic profiles of small molecule and biologic drugs in order to guide the development of medical devices.
• Worked closely with colleagues on design, execution and data collection/analysis of myriad experiments including large animal tests of medical devices and drug formulation optimization.
• Postdoc from Aug 2014-Aug 2015 From August 2014 to November 2015 (1 year 4 months) Guest Blogger @ • Increased awareness of Scizzle, a startup helping researchers stay current with literature in their field, within the international graduate student and postdoctoral scientific community.
• Summarized primary scientific literature for a public audience in bimonthly blog posts. From August 2010 to June 2014 (3 years 11 months) Baltimore, Maryland AreaEnrollment Coordinator & Divisional Leader @ • Enabled more than 700 new volunteers to commit to the non-profit organization with minimal legal liability over 2 years by constructing new enrollment procedures and protocols.
• Documented enrollment procedures to ensure seamless transferal to new coordinator that had no programming experience.
• Led 4 individual teams of volunteers to accomplish monthly and long term goals in mentoring 4 disadvantaged high school and college students.
• Strategized development and refinement of the mentoring model with fellow divisional leaders. From August 2010 to June 2014 (3 years 11 months) Baltimore, Maryland AreaUndergraduate Teaching Assistant @ • Reformed 3 undergraduate chemistry lab courses in collaboration with a new professor and 13 teaching assistants.
• Provided oral and written guidance on biological and chemical concepts for over 200 students.
• Mentored a group of 4 high school students on an independent neuroscience research project. From March 2009 to July 2010 (1 year 5 months) Executive Committee Member @ • Planned and implemented community service, social outreach, and cultural events to enrich student
life at Caltech.
