From June 2015 to Present (7 months) Austin, Texas AreaTeachers Assistant - IT 100 @ Shared my passion for the industry with brand new students who were just dipping their feet in it. As a TA, it was my job to bridge the gap between Dr. Kruse and the 150+ students that were taking the course that semester. From August 2013 to May 2015 (1 year 10 months) Software Engineering Intern @ Having many different roles on a variety of projects while working for a company that has under-grown vast changes (management, methodologies, environment, etc.) and huge growth has been an incredible experience. Being thrown on projects, in areas I have no prior knowledge of, with the expectation of delivering was a challenge I learned to crave. ●Worked with other interns to spearhead the proof of concept and eventual implementation of Selenium testing for our UI. ●Developed multiple tools in java to be used by our internal QA and Development teams. ●Created and helped to maintain hundreds of automated and semi-automated JMeter test cases that tested both our RESTful and SOAP Web-services. ●Helped select, interview, on-board, and mentor junior interns through 4 hiring cycles. From November 2012 to May 2015 (2 years 7 months) Independent Programmer for Math Department @ Wrote scripts and found creative solutions to help the Math department be more effective in tutoring and hosting annual math competitions. From August 2013 to December 2014 (1 year 5 months) Cake PHP Developer @ I spent one semester studying abroad at the HAN University of Applied Science in Arnhem, Netherlands. During this time I also worked as a full-stack PHP Developer for B302, a student run, faculty mentored media company. In my short time at B302 my primary task was creating a hosted customer resource management application using the Cake PHP framework. I saw this project through from the very beginning where I designed the data model to a working testable beta that the customer was using and giving feedback on. ● Met regularly with clients to communicate requirements, progress, and required changes. ● Designed and Implemented a database that fulfilled requirements using MySQL. ● Used CakePHP, HTML, CSS, Bootsrap, Javascript, and JQuery to develop a CRM Web Application. ● Learned technologies on the fly based on what was needed for the project. From January 2014 to July 2014 (7 months) Quality Assurance - Tester @ Spent 10 hours a day 6 nights a week working with other passionate gamers to find issues in triple A titles. As a member of the online team we had to work together to set up scenarios and reproduce intricate regressions.
