I am a family physician with a masters degree in health services who is driven to improve health care access and quality of care among uninsured, underserved, and indigent populations. I am focused on improving programs and processes which have demonstrated positive outcomes, and move American health care towards the goal of becoming a truly integrated and equitable system. I am very interested in advancing a community health model that considers how family, neighborhoods, and lifestyle impact the health of the individual, and believe deeply in the medical home model which promotes continuity and accountability in primary care settings.
