💼 Past Experience

Dorothy Hisgrove has worked in a number of different roles within the legal, customer and community consulting industries. She has held a number of management and executive positions within these industries, most notably at two financial institutions - both of which were in the private sector. Dorothy's most recent role has been as the General Manager People, Customer & Community at the AFL - Australian Football League (AFL). At the AFL, she was responsible for developing and running the team’sordinariesurveillance programmes. To this end, she also played a leading role in the creation and rollout of the AFL’s customer value proposition, as well as the development and execution of community programming. In her previous role, she was also one of theelmanagers of the Group Human Capital at NAB. As part of her responsibilities within the Group Human Capital, she was responsible for developing and overseeing the employer group human capital strategy, as well as organizational planning and manufacturing initiatives. In addition, she was also responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of employee communications programs, as well as leading the development of NAB’s employee relationship management program.Prior to joining NAB, Dorothy worked at Munster Football Club in Ireland. At Munster Football Club, she was responsible for developing and running the team’s team development and community engagement initiatives, as well as oversees both the team’s training and conditioning programs. In her previous role, she was also responsible for the development and implementation of business processes within Munster Football Club, as well as overseeing the development and implementation of club branding and marketing initiatives. Prior to her current role at Essendon Football Club, Dorothy held a number of executive positions at other retail banks. At National Australia Bank, she was responsible for the Development and Launch of the Retail Bank’s Competitiveness Programme, and was also responsible for the Retail Bank’s People, Customer and Community Strategy. At BHP Billiton, she was responsible for the Head of Groups communications and the Development and Launch of the Group Human Capital Functions within the Marketing and Corporate Services Directorate. Dorothy has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Melbourne, and a Masters in Community Management from Monash University.
