The role extends across multiple national and international sites, to ensure consistent supply, from appropriately accredited suppliers, at minimum cost for both UK and non- UK packed product. • Annual spend of c£8 million contributing to over £65 million of turnover. • Project management, implementation of successful packaging re-designs and “Peak period” execution, with emphasis on continuous improvement, stock obsolescence, waste control and cost. • Group leader for all packaging all packaging projects and tenders for the Mavuno Group. Achievements: • Produced and developed the World Flowers’ procurement strategy for packaging, enhancing relationships with the most competitive suppliers, whilst developing new strategic sources. • Responsible for savings over a 2 year period amounting to over £1m, representing a 33% saving on spend. • Initiated and developed Quality Assurance intake procedure, included packaging specification development to maintain consistency of product • Successfully completed six major packaging changes, minimising stock obsolescence across the supplier base whilst providing a supporting role for the retail client to facilitate on time range launches.
