About Daniel Grunebaum

💼 Past Experience

A few years ago, Daniel Grunebaum started his own company, F1rstEmploi.com, which is a web design company. He was the founder and CEO for the company for three years, until he resigned in late 2009. While at F1rstEmploi.com, Daniel Grunebaum worked on a number of different projects. One project was creating a website for a private investor, which he was board member for. The other projects were designing and implementing a HR strategy for the company, and working on developing an advertising campaign for the company. Daniel Grunebaum also work on a project that was funded through a grant from the Center for American Progress. The project was called “A New Model for Talent Acquisition?”, and it was focused on developing a method to prioritizize and track qualified candidates for hire.


🎓 Education

Daniel Grunebaum holds a B.Sc. in mathematical science from Université d'Evry-Val d'Essonne and a M.Sc. in computer science from INSEEC, both in 1984. After completing his undergraduate studies, he moved on to work as a computer scientist at Institute for Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPDS) in Paris, France from 1987 to 1993. From 1993 to 1995, Daniel Grunebaum was a research associate and postdoctoral fellow at MIT Intelligence Research Laboratory (IRL). After returning to France in 1995, Daniel Grunebaum joined the National Research University at Multiple Research institutions in Paris (IRRU), where he has been a professor since 2007. He is head of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, at University of Paris-Sud.In his three decades of research career, Daniel Grunebaum has developed new ways to improve the software design process and create more scalable and efficient systems. His latest research focuses on the area of network computing, where he has developed the ideas and methods of cooperation Amongst devices using wireless mediums. This research has spanned both the computer network and mobile devices.Daniel Grunebaum is also a licensed developer of the Java programming language and active in the Java community. He has been a member of the International Conference on Computer Science (ICCS), the European Conference on Computer Science (ECCS), the IEEE International Symposium on Composition and Graphical Abstractions (IGA-2002), and the Eurosurvey on Computer Science and Technology (EUROsurvey-2002).
