Craig Cranford

Craig Cranford is a dedicated Senior at East Carolina University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2017. In addition to his academic pursuits, Craig has taken on a pivotal role as a bus operator for ECU Transit, one of the largest transit systems in North Carolina and the only student-operated university transit system in the state. This position not only allows him to contribute to the campus community but also provides him with invaluable experience in public transportation management and customer service.

As a bus operator, Craig is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of students across nearly 40 routes, utilizing a fleet of over 50 vehicles. This role requires him to maintain a CDL Class B License, demonstrating his commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. His experience in this high-responsibility position has honed his skills in teamwork, communication, and public speaking—essential attributes for effectively interacting with diverse groups of students and faculty.

In addition to his operational duties, Craig's leadership experience as the Drum Major for the East Carolina University Marching Pirates in 2015 has further developed his ability to lead and motivate teams. His background in team leadership and customer service is complemented by his proficiency in Microsoft Office and various computer platforms, allowing him to manage schedules and communicate effectively with both peers and supervisors.
