I am currently seeking an entry level programming or website development position that would offer some degree of on-the-job training to supplement my current experience with C++ and Ruby on Rails.
I graduated with honors from Lehigh University with a BS in biochemistry and minor in business. I have a strong technical background in the life sciences as well as analytical and conceptual skills that can be utilized in a wide variety of applications. Apart from my scientific background, my business minor and entrepreneurial ventures have provided me with a well-rounded background in business. The Health Department of this agency seeks to expand the presence of French biotech and pharmaceutical companies in America. Specifically, they organize business meetings and guided visits with suitable prospects, provide French companies with targeted market research, and advise them on how to develop their business locally.
Ubifrance comes under the aegis of France's Ministry for the economy, industry and employment. From July 2012 to March 2014 (1 year 9 months) CoFounder @ Castelo Innovations is an early stage, fully virtual, pharmaceutical start-up. Our pipeline consists of a single drug repurposing candidate. Famotidine, originally approved by the FDA to treat GERD and PUD, has shown significant promise in treating the symptoms, and potentially mitigating the cancer risks of ALDH2 deficiency. Castelo Innovations holds a use patent for the use of famotidine (and optionally succinic acid) in treating ALDH2 deficiency. We are currently looking for seed funding to finance Phase IIb - Proof of Concept clinical trials.
