The new fire main system is being designed as a ring main supplied at each of the 2 portals and the 2 ventilating stations , we installed 3,500m of stainless steel 8" water main pipe from Wallasey to Liverpool ) BAE Warton Hanger Works (This was a 500K value project on behalf of BAE Systems . The work comprised of the installation of a new foam injection system which provided sufficient protection for all Typhoon Aircrafts in Hangars 1-5 in the event of any fires , I acted as an Assistant Project Manager on this project, liaising with Clients (BAE) on a daily basis. This was a “turn-key” project using one subcontractor to do 90% of the works with Compco completing the initial connection and commissioning of the system!)
