Beginning this fall, for coverage starting January 1, 2014, the SHOP will provide California small businesses the opportunity to purchase affordable, quality health care coverage for their employees. Pinnacle Claims Management, Inc., a licensed third-party administrator, was awarded the contract to administer the SHOP in March of this year. Pinnacle plans to attract, develop and help certify thousands of licensed agents throughout California to meet enrollment targets required to ensure the SHOP’s success. We are now in the process of recruiting a dedicated SHOP sales force with detailed knowledge of the small group benefits marketplace in California.
