Managed the day to day operations of the program, handled all incoming requests and also reached out to new organizations. From October 2010 to August 2011 (11 months) Recruitment and Outreach Manager @ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas Responsible for implementing and overseeing all Central Texas outreach and recruitment activities in addition to serving as the partnership lead for the agency. In this position, I manage the creation and optimization of strategies to recruit high quality partners and volunteer candidates in the greater Austin area. Relationship management with partners, volunteers and friends of the agency is essential to this position and requires concise communication and advanced time management skills. Marketing duties associated with the position include collateral creation, communicating with media and ensuring consistent agency messaging. From May 2009 to October 2010 (1 year 6 months) Community Relations Specialist @ Ryma Technology Solutions Managed and executed the corporate marketing plan which included both internal and external communication. I served as the media liaison, community relations contact, marketing-communications lead, advertising manager and event coordinator. As the media and community relations contact, I wrote and distributed bi-monthly press releases, weekly corporate newsletters and web content as well as fielded public and media inquires. The role of marketing-communications lead required the development and review of all corporate literature which included both content and design coordination to ensure consistency in all collateral. All advertising design, messaging and publication was coordinated through this position for print, online and live media formats. From January 2008 to January 2009 (1 year 1 month) Campaign Manager @ Dennis Hession for Mayor Executed strategic visioning in logistical terms regarding fieldwork, volunteer management and all community outreach efforts. Required written and oral communication skills included: strong written voice, concise use of verbiage, and persuasive speaking abilities. Event planning and fundraising were both essential elements of this position in addition to handling campaign finances and working within a strict budget. From January 2007 to September 2007 (9 months) Program Coordinator @ City of Spokane Developed a comprehensive water conservation program that aimed to reduce overall water usage in accordance with State regulations. This was a collaborative process which required coordination with regional governmental and non-profit agencies to create a strategic plan with measurable results for the City of Spokane. All educational outreach, marketing, advertising, public relations, web design, and budgeting were handled by my position.
