Carolyn's experience, intelligence, and researchLed her to pursue a research career in psychiatry and, in particular, the study of mental health in emerging markets. In her current role at the University of California, San Francisco, she is a professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also the Director of the UCSF Research Institute on Psychiatry and Neurology.
