💼 Past Experience
Back in 2002, when I was a Manager of Talent Acquisition at Wells Fargo, I did a lot of work in the area of diversity and race. I was responsible for managing the human resources department and I worked with unions both before and after I left the company. I also managed a global talent acquisitions program at American General Life Companies, which was responsible for rescuing failing companies in the banking industry and bringing them back to profitability. From my time working with American General, I learned a lot about diversity and the different ways that you can bring out the best in people. I also learned a lot about HR and how to create a culture that is supportive of diversity. In the nine years I spent at SunTrust Bank, I worked on a number of diversity initiatives. My biggest accomplishment there was helping to create a global diversity management program that wasbeervised by CEO John G. Stonestreet. This program was responsible for implementing a number of diversity policies at SunTrust Bank, such as increasing the number of women in management, gay and lesbian employees, and Viet Nam veterans. I also worked on a number of other programs that were designed to help employees feel comfortable and happy in their work. For example, we ran a series of employee training programs that was specifically designed to help employees learn about the personal pronouns that they were using in their work. And we also created a diversity magazine that was sent to all employees. In my time at AIG, I also worked on a number of diversity initiatives. My biggest accomplishment there was helping to create a global diversity management program that was later appointed by then-President George W. Bush. This program was responsible for implementing a number of diversity policies at AIG, including increasing the number of women in management, gay and lesbian employees, and Viet Nam veterans. I also worked on a number of other programs that were designed to help employees feel comfortable and happy in their work. For example, we ran a series of employee training programs that was specifically designed to help employees learn about the personal pronouns that they were using in their work. And we also created a diversity magazine that was sent to all employees.
