Hello my name is Brian, and I am a builder of scalable and usable web applications. I have built an online e-commerce platform that has processed tens of millions of dollars and have built and worked on advertising systems that reach millions of people. I have been doing web development and design since 1997. I am currently a Developer at Perfect Audience, a YCombinator company that focuses on retargeted advertising for the Facebook platform. Previously, I was the Director of Engineering at ReTargeter, a San Francisco-based company that specializes in retargeting and audience targeting. I was the first full-time engineer for the firm and opened the engineering department. I was responsible for hiring engineers and building a product-focused company. Before that, I co-founded a company based off a transaction-capable interactive ad unit platform I was building. We raised money, pivoted to Facebook commerce (2010) and then finally settled on serving customers in the televised promotion industry, for brands being promoted nationally on NBC and elsewhere. I enjoy running, learning, building novel web applications, designing digital interactive experiences, collaborating with other artists and technologists, playing musical instruments, and enjoying food and drinks with other great people.
