Bret's current research focuses on the understanding of plant stress responses in response to changes in temperature and light. Bret has served as an Editor for the Journal of Experimental Botany, and as a reviewer for a number of other journals. He is also an experienced healer, having worked as a health scientist and therapist. Bret's current disabilities include sensory impairment from arthritis and an eye ailment. He is motivated by his research, teaching and personal experience to continue making a difference in the lives of students and scientists.
