After two years spent at Ford, Hollis moved to Pepsi-Cola where he worked on developing software for the soft drink company’s Goops soft drink machines. Hollis left Pepsi-Cola in 1990 after developed a problem with the company’s software. Hollis then moved to environmental consulting firm, World Wildlife Fund, where he worked until he left the company in 1998 to found his own company.Hollis’s company, Hollis Solutions, focuses on developing software that helps organizations, like the United States Geological Survey (USGS), to manage, monitor, and predict environmental changes. Hollis Solutions’ software is used by the USGS to manage, monitor, and predict environmental changes in a variety of industries, including the oil and gas industry, the agricultural sector, and the general public.
