Antonio Vigil was born on December 9, 1963, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. After his family moved to Colorado in 1968, Vigil spent his childhood in Englewood, Colorado. In the late 1970s, after a few years of studying at Regis JesuitHigh School, Antonio Vigil moved to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in 1992. There he pursued his creative writing and ethnic Third World writing degree under the guidance of Professor Jerry Weiser. Additionally, Antonio Vigil was a student at St. John's University from 1985 to 1989. During his time there, he earned two bachelor's degrees in English and Spanish Majors.Antonio Vigil's current occupations and work readiness:Antonio Vigil currently works as a writer and editor. His work has been published in journals such as Louisiana Review, American Quarterly, Creative Writing, and others. He has also appeared in Sarabande, a Mexican cultural magazine.Antonio Vigil has been highly critical of the current state of the Latino literary community and has called for change. He has supported the development of bilingual presses and writing programs for non-Latino students, as well as calls for more Latino writing prizes. Additionally, Vigil has praised the work of Latino authors like Ta-Nehisi Coates and political writermargarita Nava.Based on hisRecent education and current occupation, it is clear that Antonio Vigil is highly prepared to develop his writing and critical skills. Vigil has experience in both writing and editing, and is well-versed in Mexican and Latino culture. 💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

In my research, I discovered that there are a lot of successful high school programs that use a "team-oriented" approach, with no single superintendent making all the decisions. Rather, the superintendent would work with a group of elected officials, decides what program to pursue, and then negotiates with the parents of the students. The group of elected officials also meets monthly to share progress, strategies, and goals. This model allows the superintendent to stay focused on the program and the students while also having a say in how the school is conducted.The Principal at my previous school (Paris Elementary School) was myself. There is no set structure or style for Principals; it agile, effective, and adapted to the needs of the school and the individuals working in it. Antonio Vigil is currently a Principal at Aurora Public Schools in Aurora, Colorado, which has a model of "team-oriented" Principals. Chief Academic Officer at El Paso Leadership Academy from March 2017 to June 2018 (1 year 4 months) in El Paso, Texas Area. Antonio Vigil is an advocate of scholar learning, educator development, and mentoring. He models passion for scholar learning and the attainment of exemplary learning results and outcomes. His learning results and outcomes range from performance on high-stakes testing and college and career-readiness assessments to demonstrating leadership skills for community empowerment. He promoted a sense of collective urgency and responsibility related to achievement for all scholars and ensured all scholars were unconditionally prepared for the demands of a four-year college and career opportunities. HeInspirited and supported scholars, families, staff, and stakeholders to believe in and reflect our mission, high expectations, and core values. He mentored and coached staff members and scholars to foster academic excellence, growth, and results aligned to college and career readiness standards. He established a school community that was founded on our core values that uniquely cared for each scholar and staff member and ensured each scholar and staff member was held to the highest level of accountability. In addition, he created a professional learning community in which teachers routinely collaborated to reflect on and refine curriculum and instruction at the school using achievement data, scholar work, and their own observations and experiences. In terms of administrative leadership, Antonio Vigil is personally solid with both his administrators and his teachers. In terms of data-driven instructional process, Antonio Vigil leads andmanaged a data-driven instructional process that included rigorous interim assessments aligned with year-end assessments and college readiness benchmarks.
