My story: I'm a natural idea generator. Every summer, I was the one kid looking for a way to make money. I washed cars, cut grass even wrote poems for my friends to give to their girlfriends. I had so many idea's my friends started calling me "get rich quick vic (my middle name)", this was when I was 12,13 years old.
As I got older things didn't change much, the internet came and the possibilities blew my mind. At 19,20 I hired developers in india to build whatever idea I came up with. My surroundings weren't as ambitions or progressive so idea's would fade with little help to move it forward.
Years later I skilled my way into the mortgage industry and excelled. The mortgage market crashed and I turned back to my natural pool of ideas.
It was about this same time Play station 2 was popular and online gaming was just coming along. After playing a game of madden online, I realized the next thing will be folks playing madden for money online.
Being out of cash didn't burn the idea out. Using google, I taught myself how to code & built what was then "gamezy.com". An early entrepreneurs mistake, the thought of combining the words "game crazy" lead me to create a name no one could spell. Months later I changed it to gamerholic.com
As things started picking up, a competitor hosting million dollar tournaments came about and It was tough to compete. With my last $300 I packed up and made the move to san francisco in 2012.
While in san francisco, I learned new technologies including bitcoin. As any of my previous light bulb moments (webvideoid.com, a video streaming service I built 3 years before youtube, or PayAgent and identity theft prevention service I built long before Identity theft was an online concern) I saw the same future necessity for bitcoin. So I made Gamerholic a bitcoin arcade.
Gamerholic is my baby, wife+. It's an ingenious gaming platform that has a very bright future.
