From May 2005 to February 2006 (10 months) Software Engineer @ Point Connect The company was involved in creating a product to help niche brokerage houses create portals for their customers. Worked on the design and prototype for the trade server and integration server. Company lost funding. From February 2000 to April 2000 (3 months) Principal Architect @ Intel Corporation Architect for Intel Education client applications and cloud SAAS service platform. Highlights: 1. From 2013 onwards, after the acquisition, further developed our software services and platform to delivered textbook and media content to hundreds of school districts, mostly in USA, but also in Europe.2. Conceived, designed and lead a team to build a classroom media server and platform changes to our cloud/clients to deliver DRM protected content to a class. The media server could be provisioned from the cloud and acted a smart caching layer so each student gets their own book, taking DRM licensing into account. This solution enabled classrooms that have bandwidth limitation or that are not connected normally to obtain content and state intermittently when a connection is available.3. Helped scale our data pipeline to handle > 10 million events per day using Kafka, Spark Streaming and Cassandra. From November 2013 to December 2016 (3 years 2 months) San Francisco Bay AreaPrincipal Architect / Principal Software Engineer / Team Lead / Development Manager @ Kno (acquired by Intel) Second Engineer at Kno. Architect and senior principal engineer for Kno mobile applications and cloud content platform. This includes - content delivery platform, web-based reader, ecommerce engine, DRM, etc and mobile textbook reader applications built on iOS, Android and Windows. Highlights:* Led architecture, design and implementation for several Software-as-a-service products including - Enhanced Content tool - lets publishers add a layer of additional content to text books without having to modify their textbooks, and deliver these to offline clients - Kno for Web - web based reader app - Kno for Schools - allows administrators to manage allocation and distribution of textbooks within a district/school/section. - Kno for Classroom - student response system and activity manager for classrooms * Lead the team to develop the first release of the the iPad Textbook reader client application. This first release was done in 5 months. From June 2009 to December 2016 (7 years 7 months) Santa ClaraSenior Software Engineer @ Metreo Successfully completed several releases of the Response and Target applications on time. •Development of various modules of the Response and Target products. •Design and implementation of many core features and performance enhancements for both products.•Design and implementation of portions of the Metreo Platform and Domain layer. From April 2002 to May 2005 (3 years 2 months) Software Engineer @ Manage.com Successfully completed several releases of the FrontLine management server platform and the mxBuilder (authoring) application on time. • Design and development of various server-side and some client-side modules in the FrontLine Server platform. The server enabled businesses to view real time data from disparate sources of information. • Development of mxBuilder, an application used to visually develop management dashboards. From April 2000 to April 2002 (2 years 1 month) Software Engineer @ Motorola Successfully completed several distributed, multi-tier client server projects through all stages of the software development process, on time. • Development of different modules of a multithreaded distributed dual-host system (MTC). The system was responsible for scheduling the user pager calls within the Iridium system. • Development of test simulators, test plans, test execution suite (scripts, programs), and reports for the GW-ETS and TTAC-ETS. From April 1998 to February 2000 (1 year 11 months) Principal Software Engineer / Architect @ Qventus, Inc Developed - Covid19 modeling products using Django and Looker - Data science pipeline that is used to train our models and set up endpoints for run-time predictions using Sagemaker, Lambda, AWS Fargate - Data validation products to validate incoming data in real time using Spring Java, Sagemaker Notebooks, Snowflake, Python - New features for data science models - Data pipelines that ingests, validates and store datas from hospitals into our real time transactional database and data warehouse. The tool uses Spring Batch, Drools, Avro, LogStash and Kibana. Deployed using Docker containers. Built the first release for the Slack-like mobile app for hospital operations. Worked on both the mobile application, which was built using React Native, and the cloud based REST apis. Worked on integrating with Mattermost and Twilio based messaging. Developer for Producer's Desktop team - which is used to manage/schedule content across many of the most popular Yahoo! websites.Worked on 2.0 version of the product, which is used create, update and schedule content changes on many Yahoo! websites.
